This website was build with accessibility in mind. Several aspects were considered during the development of the site so that everybody can use it.
Web norms followed based on the WCAG accessibility standards:
- hierarchical titles for structuring pages;
- text equivalent to any image;
- label for all form fields;
- explicit wording at all links;
- distinction of content and structure through the use of CSS style sheets;
- avoiding pop-up windows and data tables;
- sufficient color contrast levels;
- and much more!
The accessibility of the site has been checked with the following browsers: Firefox, Edge, Google Chrome and Safari.
Evaluation tools were also used such as the W3C HTML Validator, WAVE Web Accessibility Tool, Color Contrast Analyser, NVDA, Jaws and VoiceOver. The versions used are the most recent available at the beginning of 2023.
