rEvolver Festival’s Resident Curator 2025
The Resident Curator Program is an open opportunity for an emerging, re-emerging, or mid-career performing artist or administrator to receive mentorship and experience from Upintheair Theatre in curation for arts festivals. The program allows an emerging curator to get hands-on experience in festival production, curation of programming, community building and outreach skills, and artistic scouting. Over two years, the Resident Curator will learn about festival curation and producing in the following cycles:
- First-year, learning from their fellow Resident Curator (Kelsi James), Festival Curator (Sarah Roa) and Artistic Director (Dave Mott);
- Second year, developing their own agency and leading on festival responsibilities, as well as helping mentor a new incoming Resident Curator.
Eligibility
- Must be a Lower Mainland resident, and/or available for the entirety of the 2-year agreement;
- Must be in Vancouver to attend festival events, March, April, May & early June 2026 and 2027;
- Relevant experience in producing, performing, creating, or designing performing arts events;
- Is interested in working as a producer/curator in the performing arts and supporting and lifting up the work of others in addition to their own artistic practice.

Time commitment and compensation
