Software engineer, thought leader, and second-hand Tesla owner Santosh Santosh aka Tosh seems to have it all—at least, until his discerning immigrant parents weigh in. Guided by the voice in his head, Santosh learns to find his groove through wild Kollywood dance-offs, anime boss battles, and spicy hot sauce torture that defies reason. Directed by Umbrella Academy’s Ken Hall, this Toronto clown and drag king fever dream was a hit at Toronto Fringe and WTFestival.

“Well…it was something.” –Srutika’s dad
“Sabu is a fine physical performer…can’t wait to see what this doctor-turned-clown does next” –Glenn Sumi
“Half of the show’s hilarity comes from Mahdi Mozafari, the narrator who delivers a running voiceover peppered with acerbic asides, and bounds on and off the stage as a black-clad, jolly-scary agitator manifesting Tosh’s demons.” –SesayArts
“[Tosh’s] eyes, accentuated by the painted-on facial hair, were both the funniest and most heart-breaking feature of this show, which definitely deserved the long and hearty standing ovation it received. Highly recommended.” –Oliver Georgiou
“There are a lot of shows about South Asian masculinity…and this makes a wonderful mango lassi against the acidic spiciness of [others]” –Mike Anderson
“This is a raucous, uproarious, one-of-a-kind theatrical experience built atop the recognizable reality of feeling that you just don’t measure up to other’s expectations. The audience interaction is priceless, and it’s hard not to cheer as the hapless, sweetly-realized Tosh finds his elusive groove.”–SesayArts
“This charming gem of a show…has a lot of warm hearted laughs and a few touchingly tearful moments too.” –Nina Kaye
